LES RILEY

Les Riley was granted membership in the American Academy of Dermatology in 2004, in recognition of his years of service and contribution to advancing the specialty of dermatology. He is currently active in the industry as a consultant to several firms while serving as President and CEO of Riley-Nacht, LLC, a company he co-founded in 2002. Riley-Nacht is a consulting firm for the global skincare industry that focuses on technology transfers, either from researchers to marketing companies or from marketing companies to foreign market distributors. Among the featured technologies that Riley-Nacht represents are bio-active peptides, organic extracts, delivery systems and novel packaging.

Prior to the founding of Riley-Nacht, LLC, Mr. Riley was President of Cardinal Health, Topical Technologies, a company formed through the acquisition of Advanced Polymer Systems that integrated existing Cardinal Health technologies and infrastructure. Mr. Riley’s duties included worldwide responsibilities for research and development, manufacturing, sales, and marketing of the topical skin care and delivery system business. Les Riley had been President of Dermatology and Skin Care for Advanced Polymer Systems and was responsible for the Ethical Pharmaceutical and Skin Care Business on a worldwide basis.

Prior to Advanced Polymer Systems, Mr. Riley was CEO and President of TriStrata Incorporated and a member of the TriStrata, Inc., and TriStrata Technology, Inc., Boards of Directors. He was a member of the Board of Directors of NeoStrata Company, Inc., a subsidiary of TriStrata, and held the positions of CEO and President. NeoStrata was founded by the inventors of hydroxy acid technology and is a worldwide leader in the development, sales, and marketing of products that utilize patented AHA technology.

Les Riley has over thirty of experience in the pharmaceutical and skin care industries, including seventeen years with Johnson & Johnson Co., Inc. His experience at Johnson & Johnson includes the positions of Division Manager, Field Sales Manager, National Sales Manager, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and President of the Dermatological Division of Ortho Pharmaceutical Corporation. As President of the Dermatological Division, Mr. Riley was responsible for all operations, including the sales and marketing of all dermatological products, licensing and acquisitions, and the development of new products. During Mr. Riley’s tenure, Ortho Dermatological Division became the recognized leader in the field of dermatology, as well as one of the most profitable companies in all of Johnson & Johnson. Much of this success was attained through the development and growth of the Retin-A® brand. Retin-A is now one of the most widely used dermatological products throughout the world.

Mr. Riley was also a member of the Board of Directors of Ortho Pharmaceutical Corporation. Additionally, he was a member of the management committees of the corporation – ICOM (International Cilag, Ortho, McNeil) and PRI (Pharmaceutical Research Institute), the worldwide pharmaceutical research function for Johnson & Johnson. Les Riley’s involvement with these committees consisted of worldwide strategic direction of the sales, marketing and R&D efforts of existing and new products for the ICOM companies.

SERGIO NACHT, Ph. D.

Dr. Sergio Nacht is a skin biologist with 35 years of commercial experience. He currently serves as Executive Vice President and CSO of Riley-Nacht, LLC, a company he co-founded in 2002. Riley-Nacht is a consulting firm for the global skincare industry that focuses on technology transfers, either from researchers to marketing companies or from marketing companies to foreign market distributors. Among the featured technologies that Riley-Nacht represents are bio-active peptides, organic extracts, delivery systems and novel packaging.

Prior to the founding of Riley-Nacht, LLC, Dr. Sergio Nacht was Senior Vice President of Dermatology & Skin Care at Cardinal Health, Topical Technologies. Dr. Nacht was responsible for the overall expansion of Topical Technologies with emphasis on dermatological & skin care technologies and for technical business development, both domestic and international. In addition, Dr. Nacht was also responsible for all the business of the Company in Latin America. Prior to this position, Dr. Nacht was Senior Vice President of Research and Development at Advanced Polymer Systems, Inc., in charge of the development of “high-tech” controlled release topical delivery systems in the prescription, OTC and cosmetic areas.

Dr. Nacht has carried out extensive research in dermatology and has developed numerous skin care and dermatological products. He is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology, The Society for Investigative Dermatology and The Society of Cosmetic Chemists and has co-authored more than 50 scientific papers and book chapters and holds twelve U.S. patents.

Dr. Nacht received his Ph. D. in biological chemistry in Argentina. In 1965, he immigrated to the United States to become a Research Professor in Medicine at the University of Utah. In 1970, he joined Alza Corporation, Palo Alto, California, where he was responsible for the skin permeability and biological aspects in the development of transdermal delivery systems.

Dr. Nacht was Director of Biomedical Research for the Personal Care Division of Richardson-Vicks, Inc./ Procter & Gamble for 14 years, conducting and directing laboratory and clinical research on the physiology and function of human skin and hair. He was responsible for the safety, efficacy and claim substantiation of all the skin and hair products. He was instrumental in the development of new products in the Clearasil, Oil of Olay and Pantene lines and was the spokesperson for these products in all media. During that time, he was also a lecturer in the Department of Medicine, Dermatology Division, State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center.

BRIAN RILEY

Brian Riley has over ten years experience in the sales, marketing and distribution of skin and personal health products. He is currently Executive Vice President and COO of Riley-Nacht, LLC, a company he co-founded in 2002. Riley-Nacht is a consulting firm for the global skincare industry that focuses on technology transfers, either from researchers to marketing companies or from marketing companies to foreign market distributors. Among the featured technologies that Riley-Nacht represents are bio-active peptides, organic extracts, delivery systems and novel packaging.

Prior to the founding of Riley-Nacht, LLC, Mr. Riley owned and operated Boulder Consulting, a marketing firm focused on business planning, marketing, and product development for clients in the skin care industry. Among his clients were Boston University, Department of Dermatology, and Rejuvenation Centers, Ltd., a company founded by dermatologists that sold physician strength cosmeceuticals directly to consumers.

Prior to founding Boulder Consulting, Mr. Riley partnered with leading executives in the industry to form DermFirst, Inc., a start-up company that developed an innovative, internet-based order processing and distribution system for US dermatologists and plastic surgeons to sell non-prescription skin care products to their patients. Mr. Riley held the positions of Director of Marketing and, later, Managing Director. He was responsible for securing agreements and managing relations with product manufacturers, including Ortho-Neutrogena, Allergan Skincare, ICN Pharmaceuticals, ProCyte, Inc., Genesis Pharmaceutical, and NeoStrata Company. Mr. Riley also developed the Company’s marketing materials, managed corporate and client training programs, and assisted in the development of an acne treatment system for sales through direct response television.

Brian Riley has held several marketing and sales positions with leading companies in the skin care and personal health industry. As a marketer, Mr. Riley had responsibility at Medicis Pharmaceutical Corporation for the launch and overall management of TxSystems, a new business unit specializing in non-prescription dermatologicals for improving the appearance of aging skin. Mr. Riley was also involved in the launch and/or marketing of the Medicis prescription and OTC products, including Lustra®, Esoterica®, Dynacin®, Triaz®, Novacet®, Loprox®, Lidex®, and Synalar®. Previous marketing experience was with NeoStrata Company, where Mr. Riley assisted with the domestic and international launch of a patented line of alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) products, and managed the market research and launch of the NeoCeuticals line of treatment products that combines OTC drugs with AHAs. Mr. Riley’s sales experience includes management of sales territories for both HealthPoint, Ltd., a marketer of prescription and OTC dermatologicals, and Johnson & Johnson, where he represented Monistat®, Micatin®, and Fact-Plus® among other personal care products.
